Welcome to the website of the Paekakariki Surf Lifeguards - 2011
Wellington Club of the Year.
Paekakariki is on the West Coast of the North Island of New
Zealand, about a 40 minute drive from Central Wellington. We patrol
Paekakariki Beach from November through March; conducting patrols
on both Saturdays and Sundays. We have a large active membership of
junior surf (7-13 years) and senior members (14 years+) and offer
competitive training squads for surf sports. We have a proud
history as a patrolling club and it is a set requirement that every
member perform patrol duties before they can compete in interclub
Surf Sports.
In 2013 the club turns the grand old age of 100 and we will be
hosting centenary celebrations over the course of Labour Weekend
2013.
